Hello again! We're back posting once more from the StomperNet LIVE home base with another report – this time, I want to focus on Saturday's first standout keynotes.
If you can't nail down the quality of your event in the first hour of the day, it's going to start off dragging and it won't EVER pick back up.
But this is StomperNet. It NEVER drags over here.
So, let's start at the beginning. On Saturday morning, we subjected our attendees to something very… loud.

Perry Belcher on the stage, laying down the foundation for social marketing domination
So why Perry? Why social media? Maybe because he got TENS of thousands of Twitter followers in less than 200 days. He's maxed out on Facebook in the same amount of time. The results of Perry's twitter linking is the same as instantly mailing a list of 30K+! And that's INSTANT. That's 100% deliverability. That's control that anyone can replicate.
The BIG picture is all about linking together all your social activities, but "Step 1″ might surprise you. According to Perry, even though it's a relative newcomer to the social site game, Twitter is the start of EVERY social campaign, simply because that's where the fast responders are. Twitter users want new fresh info immediately, and they gain a kind of "social currency" by repeating that info.
Therefore, it's the PERFECT place to try to gain fast followers, and begin to release your info.
Of course, there's a LOT more to becoming a Twitter demi-god, which is why when Perry asked for more time, the audience told him he could take as long as he needed! Wow. The crowd has spoken.
Maybe they were just hypnoized by those crazy shirts of his. Here's a better look, in case you didn't see it loudly enough in the first picture.

Here's a better shot of Perry's shirt (batteries not included).
I honestly wish I'd had my camera at Saturday night's cocktail hour, because the shirt he wore THEN was even MORE… enthusiastic. (Think flames and dollar signs!)
Now, Perry set the tone for the entire day, giving our attendees a great foundation to be able to discuss their ongoing business-building and marketing efforts with our faculty and their fellow entrepreneurs, business owners, colleagues, and peers.
And throughout the rest of the day, during our confidential roundtables and site reviews, the high energy level Perry set in the morning carried through WELL into the evening.
So how do we keep it going on Sunday? Even though we LOST an hour to daylight savings, things kept rolling like an avalanche coming down the mountain.
Stay tuned for an update a little later on!
As you may know, we're LIVE in Atlanta with StomperNet's 7th Face-to-Face event, and we wanted to update you folks who couldn't be with us with a few photographs we've snapped here at the event so far!

There's never an "Off" moment at LIVE Events.
The real benefit of our LIVE events is what you see right here. Getting to sit down with us and talk about YOUR business and interact with the Faculty, Staff, AND your fellow Stompers. None of us is as smart as all of us, and that's never more clear than when we get together.

Paul Lemberg delivers shockingly simple product creation methods.
We kicked off the event with a FULL Friday of FormulaFIVE business growth. The day was dominated by super-consultant Paul Lemberg, creator of F5. In addition to going deep into the time management power of FormulaFIVE's "Turbo Thruster" we also got to see Paul's secrets for nearly INSTANT and INFINITE product creation. If you have more products to sell, you make more money. Makes sense, right?

StomperNet Faculty Andy Edmonds shows off his iBlipper iPhone to enthralled Stompers
Andy Edmonds sometimes talks over people's heads, but that's just because he's so dang smart! In additon to sharing his formidable SEO and usability skills with Stompers, he's also been showing off his new iPhone app "iBlipper" – (available soon!)

Faculty Dan Thies shares some candid advice in between sessions
Here's another example of how a Stomper event breaks down the "wall" you might see at some other events – here's Dan Thies, right off the LIVE stage, interacting directly with members. You can come to our events and ask us ANYTHING about your business. And if you're not comfortable asking in a crowded hotel lobby, you should check out the Confidential Roundtable discussions. I'd tell you what was discussed (but you might never see me again!)

Faculty Don Crowther does Q&A in front of a slide from his presentation
Here, Don Crowther brings his social marketing expertise to the table and lays it out for our FormulaFIVE Day attendees – and not only did he deliver BRAND NEW content for our members, but he hung around afterwards to make sure everyone had every question answered. It's not just about listening – everyone is here to LEARN and we make sure that happens.

Andy, Janeen, and Stomper Coaches mix it up after a long day
Towards the end of a long and information-packed day, we like to unwind and network, and that's exactly what we do. Here, you can see members and staff after hours. Is Andy threatening this guy for wearing the same shirt to the party? Probably not. After such a long day, we'll let the fashion faux-pas slide.

Faculty Sherman Hu consults with a Stomper who KNOWS how to get attention
Okay… maybe not! Just when we thought we were done discussing fashion, this guy walks in. No, not Faculty Sherman Hu. The other guy – with the hat! As a special bonus for demonstrating his understanding of "attention marketing", Andy gave this guy an hour of free consulting with the Stomper Faculty member of his choice. It PAYS to come to LIVE events, in many more ways than the obvious one.
And that was our Friday. Saturday would prove to be even MORE busy and literally busting at the seams for some sessions. In fact, it was SO hectic, that I'm only just now getting to tell you about Friday, but we promise, check this space again very soon for another update from the floor of LIVE 7, including details and tidbits from our presenters, and of course, more photos!
If you want more up-to-the-minute updates, lots of buzz (and tweeting) over on Twitter! (Speaking of Twitter, the next post will have some good stuff from Perry Belcher's presentation, so don't miss it!)
Also, don't forget to leave us a comment if you like the pictures.
Talk again very soon!
Before we get into Part 3, I wanted to let you know we're going to be talking about Traffic Kahuna, which Jason Potash and
company are releasing today.
In the previous parts of this series, we focused on the idea that as internet marketers, we need to:
Stop building links, and start building connections.
We talked about how through creating connections between ideas, and developing relationships with site owners and bloggers, we can essentially take on a shepherd role in our niche markets. We can steer the tribes we target by helping them develop their niche interest.
If we use this strategy wisely and ethically, we can practically use OTHER people’s web properties as part of our own lead generating funnel.
We are no longer perceived as an outside force – like a door-to-door salesman imposing on their community.
We instead become a valued member of that community, associated not with marketing messages, but rather with being a valuable resource of information – as well as a provider of products and services.
Note: This is Part 2 of a series – click here to see Part 1.
So, last time we talked about how you need to rethink your linking strategy to focus on building real connections rather than just plastering links all over creation.
Here's a summary of how I think we can ethically and profitably build connections in our niches:
1. Identify "tribes" of people with common interests
that we want to target with our messaging.2. Find the bloggers in those tribes who have
readership and influence, and who regularly write about
your niche topics.3. Of those tribal blogs, identify the ones that will
also give you SEO benefit through linking (primarily,
blogs that don't add rel=nofollow to links in their
comments).
You read that subject line right.
Stop. Getting. Links.
Until you evolve your thinking about what "links" REALLY are, you risk wasting your precious time and resources on work that will lose its value in the long run.
Ever since Google invented Page Rank, human behavior has determined what websites were really "about" and which ones were more relevant than others.
Page Rank did this by giving webmasters and site owners the ability to "vote" for the sites they liked with their links.
But now, with things like social bookmarking and content tagging, EVERY web user gets to vote on the relevancy of content – not just webmasters and site owners. Anyone can Digg, anyone can StumbleUpon, anyone can blog.
And that's a great thing for marketers.
After all, it's the PEOPLE on the web that we really want to reach anyway. A spider program will crawl any and all links it finds, but it won't ever take out a credit card and BUY anything.
Hey guys,
Back again with the follow up to the Video and Social Marketing case study we presented earlier this week. (If you missed it, you can catch the blog post here).
If you remember, I showed you how Jeff Johnson did a demonstration of just one of his "Get More Traffic" blueprints at a LIVE conference.
By following the 6 steps he outlined, he got 6 of the Top 10 Google listings for his keyword. Here's the evil part…
He says it took 15 minutes of work, and less than 24 hours of waiting to get those results!
I know what you're thinking, you're probably calling "Baloney!" and I have to say I was thinking the same thing, but I DID see it – so go figure.
Hey Guys
While we've been busy here at StomperHQ rolling out SMARTS for our members, we wanted to make sure and keep you in the loop when we come across any killer USABLE strategies we can tell you about.
You've seen our videos, and I think we've clearly demonstrated how using video and social marketing together can be a deadly 1-2 combination. Here's something you might NOT know.
What if I told you that by combining the power of video and social marketing in a measured, repeatable way, you could get MULTIPLE listings on the Search Engines for your content?
Now, I'm NOT talking about the indented listings we covered in the Going Natural 2.0 series. This is a method to get your content onto multiple sites, and get them all ranked for your keywords – securing 2, 4, 6 – And Yeah, even all 10 listings on the front page of the SERPs (just like we did for the phrase "Going Natural 2.0″)!
Let me walk you through a case study on this method, and then I'm going to give you the full, step-by-step rundown on how to do this yourself, so get comfy, maybe get yourself a cup of tea (if that's your thing). Kick off your shoes, and let's get started.
Back in November of last year, Jeff Johnson was holding a workshop for his GetMoreTraffic course, and he wanted to demonstrate the POWER that video and social marketing can have, so he did a LIVE challenge for all the attendees.
Here's what they did:
1. Jeff picked out a product to promote. In this case, he chose the Casio ex-z1080 digital camera. Jeff already has a digital camera review blog, so this was the perfect choice for this demo – but trust me – this will work for anything.
2. Jeff had his assistant show a quick video of Jeff, right at the workshop, using the digital camera he was promoting. Nothing fancy, just a quick one take review on the camera, why it was cool, and where to find his blog for more info.
3. Jeff's assistant used a mass video uploader to put the video on YouTube and 10 other video sites. You can do this manually for free, but we recommend a paid service like HeySpread or Traffic Geyser – it will save you a LOT of time and effort.
4. He posted the YouTube video directly to his camera review blog.
5. He took the blog post URL and submitted it to between 10 and 20 different Social Bookmarking sites using the free tool at SocialMarker.
6. Here's where the "magic" happens, okay? He then took the actual video pages themselves (YouTube, MySpace, etc.) and bookmarked THOSE pages as well, again using the SocialMarker tool. Just like before, he picked between 10-20 of the sites available on that service and bookmarked each video page.
7. That's it! Not even 7 whole steps!
So what were the results of this experiment? Care to guess?
Within 24 hours of completing the project, Jeff got 6 of the top 10 spots in Google for his target phrase "Casio ex-z1080 10.1 mp digital camera"! That's a PERFECT long-tail phrase that will pull in comparison shoppers and buyers, and he's DOMINATING the search results. He's set himself up as the AUTHORITY on that camera, and he's engaging his visitors with a dynamic video review.
This IS Internet Marketing 2.0.
6 Simple Steps – and within HOURS – 6 of the top 10 listings on Google. Just… Wow.
Now, here's what's important to note. If you go and check out that search term now, you'll see that the video pages from YouTube and GoFish are STILL RANKING on the first page with 3 results. Jeff hasn't touched those pages since the video was uploaded in November.
The blog posts and the blog post listings on the social bookmarking sites have all fallen out of the Top 10 by now though. This is why step 6 is so important. Use video WHENEVER possible, and bookmark the video pages on the video sites themselves in addition to your own blog post. That's the "magic" key to this strategy.
If you want to continue to dominate the SERPS for your niche terms, simply keep adding new videos, and keep bookmarking them as above. The new ones will "replace" the old ones as they drop out of the SERPS and you'll have an easy time of maintaining your search engine real estate.
Jeff's assistant did this ENTIRE project in 15 minutes, INCLUDING shooting the video! 15 minutes of work – 6 top 10 listings for the SAME TERM. It boggles the mind.
Now, like we said before, Jeff did this demo as part of a live workshop for his GetMoreTraffic Blueprint course, which we told you about last year. Of course, when we heard about Jeff's live demo of this technique, we had to get his permission to tell you about it. We're all about video, and with SMARTS going on, we're all about social marketing. This is the exact kind of stuff we used for the SMARTS launch, and this is the kind of stuff we've been teaching our members how to do as well.
Jeff knows his stuff, or else I wouldn't share his techniques with you. Now, Jeff specializes mostly in actual coaching when he teaches this stuff, but unfortunately, his programs are currently all full and he's not taking on any more students at this time.
However, Jeff currently has a package available that is essentially 3 years of his coaching, all packaged together in a home-study course and membership site. If you didn't have the opportunity to participate in SMARTS with us, or if you want MULTIPLE traffic strategies (not just Social Marketing) then there's probably no better resource available right now. It's only available until next Tuesday (2-19-08) but you can give it a test drive F'ree for 30 days.
Check out the "Best of Jeff Johnson's Coaching" here.
Even if you don't want to get more of Jeff's "blueprints" like the one above, you're still going to want to keep your eyes peeled right here.
See, Jeff's a good friend and we talk a lot about new strategies and tactics all the time. When I told him I was going to be telling you about one of his "blueprints" from his closed-door coaching sessions, he agreed to sit down with me and give me some ADVANCED tips for this strategy to ensure HIGHER rankings that last LONGER.
However, I think I've already given you plenty to work with for now, and I want to save up those strategies for our next newsletter.
Don't worry though, we'll have that out to you LATER THIS WEEK! Do yourself and your business a favor and put this technique to work now. You have 15 minutes to try it don't you?
See you again in a few days!
~AJ
P.S. If you try this out and have some success, or even if you just like the technique, please leave a comment here on the blog and let us know! Talk again soon!
P.P.S. And again, if you want more great strategies from Jeff, you can't beat this "Best of Jeff Johnson's Coaching" package. The only other people who have ALL this content from Jeff had to collect it over the past 3 years. You can get it all at once, and take it all in at your own pace.
Wow… we just released the SMARTS Strategy Guide a few hours ago and the questions and comments are already flooding in about our upcoming SMARTS Coaching Program.
Rather than trying to answer them via email or taking three days to put together a video, I thought I would try answering them on our blog… so here you go:
Q: Is this social marketing stuff for real?
OK, the SMARTS Social Marketing Strategy Guide is now live. But before you check that out, I want to give a little background about this report…
On January 4th, I made a post here on the Stomper Blog titled, "The Secret…ALMOST Revealed".
(And no, it wasn't about all that "Secret" stuff everyone was flipping out over last year.)
I actually let the "cat out of the bag"–so to speak–regarding what all these free videos and the Scrutinizer software were really about.
Basically, this is what I let slip:
- Yes, we're releasing a new product.
- Yes, it's a Coaching Program.
- And yes, it's about Social Marketing (I'm betting you already figured that one out).
- And yes, it's scheduled for release this Friday.
I want to crack the door open a little further, and give you another even bigger glimpse of what we have in store.
And what's the best way to do that?
Yup–more Free Content.
Our 40 page Strategy Guide reveals 5 simple-to-implement social marketing strategies you can put into action right now to generate monster traffic and position yourself as THE go-to person in your niche.
And the Strategy Guide is free. Right now. Just go here and grab your copy.
Wait until you see this report – if you thought the Going Natural 2.0 videos over-delivered, this one's going to rock your world…
We've structured this Strategy Guide as a hard-hitting resource that will get you started in minutes. In fact, I have a feeling that you're going to want to print it out as a reference.
And like all the other cool stuff we've handed you over the past couple of weeks, there's no charge. None. Nada. Zippo.
Just go here and grab your copy.
Enjoy…
But we're here to make it right. Brace yourselves, folks. This video is a doozy.
Personally, I think it's the best one in the whole Going Natural 2.0 series so far. We'll let Andy Edmonds off the hook for now and let another esteemed StomperNet faculty member take the wheel. Don Crowther's been in the secret StomperNet labs for the past several months, wrapping his arms around this whole "social media" thing you may have heard about. And he's uncovered the TRUTH about some of the biggest myths out there:
